History

The engineer and qualified toolmaker Georg Hoffmann started his own business in the early seventies in Braunschweig – in the proverbial garden shed. Before then, he was the industry representative for imported oil mist separators. Many could do that in those days already. But Georg Hoffmann had by then seen enough metalworking businesses from the inside in Germany to know what they were lacking: Filtration systems in the micrometer range to filter and re-cool between 150 and 20 000 litres of oil per minute. Today, with a staff of more than 200 plus 24 apprentices, HOFFMANN works under strict quality policies on 30.000 sqm.
