HOFFMANN UBF vacuum belt filters are suitable for the filtration and tempering of oils, emulsions, synthetic solutions and other liquids, for example in the processing of metal materials (steel, non-ferrous metals, aluminium, etc.).
The filter fleece is located at the bottom of the soiled tank; a chain scraper runs along it, reliably removing even large quantities of the coarsest impurities. With filtration capacities of up to 2,200 l/min, the HOFFMANN UBF vacuum belt filter is extremely versatile and is used not only in metalworking but also in steel production and environmental technology, both in individual and centralised systems.

Belt filters use a flat filter belt of sieve fabric or filter fleece as a filter medium. The filter belt is acted upon with the suspension on its upper side and the liquid is discharged on the underside.
In the cake-forming filtration, the particles of a suspension are retained by the filter medium and form a growing layer, the filter cake.
