What is a suction belt filter?
In a suction belt filter, a vacuum is created under the filter belt to accelerate the filtration. This allows more liquid to be filtered with the same footprint than with a purely hydrostatic operation. HOFFMANN suction belt filters can be operated with filter fleece or in a consumable-free manner with an endless belt.
With theinclined suction belt filter, the filter cake is carried out of the liquid by the filter belt. The negative pressure under the filter belt then makes for a further dehumidification of the filter cake. As a result, more liquid is recovered and the disposal costs for the filtered solids are lowered.
