Immersion cooler

Reliable tempering in containers

Immersion cooler

HOFFMANN immersion coolers are the entry-level models for tempering pre-filtered and slightly contaminated liquids of all kinds. They are mounted on a tank without requiring any additional floor space. The immersion coolers consist of a housing and an evaporator made of stainless steel tube coils (1.4301) mounted underneath, which is immersed in the liquid to be cooled. The evaporator is very easy to clean and requires little maintenance.

To ensure a more efficient heat transfer, all immersion coolers are equipped with a circulation pump as standard. The waste heat is dissipated into the atmosphere via an air-cooled condenser. The coolant temperature can be adjusted with a control accuracy of ±1°C. The immersion cooler is suitable for ambient temperatures of up to +40°C as standard. Thanks to practical quick-release fasteners, the side panels can be swapped, allowing the air intake side to be customised.

A BIT OF COOLING TECHNOLOGY KNOW-HOW

Explanations and clarifications on some frequently asked questions about cooling technology and terminology used.

HOFFMANN coolers are designed as compression refrigeration systems. This version which can also be found in refrigerators, for example, has the best efficiency of all common cooling techniques in the room temperature range.

Free-cooler modules are heat exchangers equiped with a fan which are connected in series with the cooler. Installed outside the manufacturing hall. With respectively low ambient temperatures they release part of the heat being diverted into the ambient air.
