Task:

Design and installation of oil mist extraction system on machine tools with the following specifications:

• Machining (grinding) at three machine tools
• Coolant: oil
• Interconnection of the machine tools by means of permanent piping and control of machines using pneumatic shut-off valves
• Provisions for linking and evaluating the PLC signals from the individual machine tools
• Observance of pertinent clean-air (anti-pollution) regulations

Design:

• Extraction capacity 40 m³/min
• Three-stage separation using mechanical filter elements
• Observance of clean-air (anti-pollution) regulations and return of separated fluids to the machine circuit
• Piping for the machine tools in accordance with the layout plans from the customer
• Implementation of pertinent directives relating to machinery and operating media regulations
• Installation and commissioning by service technicians on site

Results:

• Return of cleansed air to the facility buildings (air recirculation operation)
  • Conservation of thermal energy
• Integration of system into the customer's building layout
  • Low space requirements
• Long filter service life, with some filter elements able to be cleaned when maintenance intervals are observed.
